Garden Scavenger Hunt
Is your child inquisitive and voraciously creative? Well, bring him or her and some friends out to Texas Discovery Gardens for a wild goose chase through the Gardens. They’ll learn about butterflies, bugs, and botany while developing their reasoning and problem solving skills.
Make it Grow
Learn about seeds and what they can create. We’ll play games that familiarize children with life in the Gardens. Children will plant their very own mini-garden that can go home with them.
Peter Rabbit
Mr. McGregor has worked hard to get his garden in tip top condition, but your little bunnies want to frolic and play all over his handy work. We’ll read Peter’s story and then play our own garden games. Children will learn about gardening and the animals that can help or hinder a gardener’s efforts.
Tea in the Garden
Picnic in the rose garden with tea and crumpets. Children will learn about the history and significance of our heirloom roses while sitting pretty at a beautiful picnic spread. Ask children to wear a garden hat and their favorite dress or suit.
