Birthday & Outdoor Parties
Looking for a fun way to celebrate a momentous occasion in your child’s life? Schedule a party at Texas Discovery Gardens that includes 2 hours with an experienced environmental educator who will lead you through the Gardens, fun activities and games, and a craft-making session that relates to the theme of your party. We have various themes to choose from or you can help us to create the perfect party for your child's unique interests. We have 7.5 acres of beautiful, natural, and organic gardens in which your party attendees can run, play, and enjoy the life that teems at Texas Discovery Gardens.
Party Ideas
Creepy Crawlers
Learn about what insects are, what they eat, and where they play through fun and educational games that take a closer look at specific insects. For an extra element of creativity, have guests dress up as their favorite insect.
Fairies in the Air
Who doesn’t want to live in a world where cute little fairies roam free? Guests get to make their very own magic wand, dance around the Gardens, and learn about the magic of the other flying creatures that make Texas Discovery Gardens their home.
For the Love of Butterflies
Perfect for those that can’t seem to get enough of this beautiful insect that plays such an important role in pollinating the plants in our world. Learn insider information about butterflies in our area. Make a fun craft that is age appropriate to your group.
Garden Scavenger Hunt
Is your child inquisitive and voraciously creative? Well, bring him or her and some friends out to Texas Discovery Gardens for a wild goose chase through the Gardens. They’ll learn about butterflies, bugs, and botany while developing their reasoning and problem solving skills.
Make it Grow
Learn about seeds and what they can create. We’ll play games that familiarize children with life in the Gardens. Children will plant their very own mini-garden that can go home with them.
Peter Rabbit
Mr. McGregor has worked hard to get his garden in tip top condition, but your little bunnies want to frolic and play all over his handy work. We’ll read Peter’s story and then play our own garden games. Children will learn about gardening and the animals that can help or hinder a gardener’s efforts.
Tea in the Garden
Picnic in the rose garden with tea and crumpets. Children will learn about the history and significance of our heirloom roses while sitting pretty at a beautiful picnic spread. Ask children to wear a garden hat and their favorite dress or suit.
