Share your interest and enthusiasm about gardening while you learn more about plants and insects by volunteering at Texas Discovery Gardens.
Volunteers at Texas Discovery Gardens include people that love nature and human interaction such as Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists, Rotary Club members, and community members. No prior experience is required -- you just need to have a desire to learn about nature and to convey your knowledge to our visitors.

EarthKeepers® Children's Education Programs
Introduce children to the unique interactions between plants, insects, and other creatures in nature by leading interactive, hands-on Garden tours or by taking Environmental Education programs into schools and community centers.
Garden and Greenhouse Maintenance
Assist in all aspects of horticulture from plant production to landscape installation and maintenance. This is definitely a “Learn as you Grow” opportunity!
Special Events and Marketing
Help with the planning, coordinating, and the implementation of our Third Saturday Garden Walks, Annual Butterfly Plant Sale, State Fair activities, and outreach booths at local Festivals. If you are well organized, like to talk to people, and enjoy being involved creatively, then this is a good job for you!
Administration and Office Help
Help our office run as smoothly as possible by assisting us with data entry, filing, copying, and stuffing envelopes. This is a weekday position.
Membership and Fundraising
Help from the comfort of your own home! We need volunteers who can make phone calls, update our contact and membership lists, conduct grant research, write newsletter articles, and solicit goods and services from companies interested in donating to a non-profit.
